Mature is a standard, not an age
The community leans adult, but the requirement is behavior. A sixteen year old who keeps their word, cleans up after themselves, and handles a disagreement calmly is a better neighbor than a thirty year old who does not. Both get the same covenant and the same staff.
Because whitelisting happens through Discord, every player needs a Discord account and has to meet the minimum age Discord requires where they live. Beyond that, the question is simple: can you play honestly, keep chat clean, and take a problem to staff instead of to the whole server?

When something goes wrong
Any community of real people will produce friction eventually. The difference is what happens next. Reports go through the appropriate Discord channels, staff review them against the covenant, and decisions can be appealed through a formal process. Public accusations and retaliation are discouraged because they make resolution harder, not easier.
Staff are not exempt from the covenant. If you believe a staff member handled something unfairly, the appeal process exists for that too.
Questions About the Community
- Is Living Stone Network an 18+ server?
- No. It is not age restricted to adults. The community is built around mature conduct rather than an age gate, and a large share of the player base happens to be adults.
- Are younger players allowed?
- Yes, as long as they meet the age requirement Discord applies in their country and hold to the same standards as everyone else. Whitelisting runs through Discord, so a Discord account is required either way. Behavior is what determines whether someone fits here, not birth year.
- What does a mature community actually mean in practice?
- Clean chat, no harassment, no griefing or stealing, disagreements taken to staff instead of public arguments, and players who can share a world without turning it into a competition for attention. It also means people who understand that adults have jobs and families and cannot log in every night.
- How is disruptive behavior handled?
- Reports go to staff through Discord rather than being fought out in chat. Staff enforce the community covenant consistently, decisions can be appealed, and staff are held to the same standard as players. Repeated boundary testing is treated as a violation in itself.
- Is my base safe from griefing?
- Foundation SMP uses land claiming and griefing is a covenant violation, so builds and storage are protected both technically and by the rules. Cheating, x-ray, and exploit-based duplication are prohibited as well.
- Do I have to be a Christian to play?
- No. Living Stone Network is openly Christian and that shapes the standard of conduct, but you do not have to share the faith. You do have to respect the community and follow the covenant.
