Foundation SMP

Survival Minecraft With aCommunity Worth Staying For

Foundation SMP is the main survival world on Living Stone Network and the front door to everything else. Java and Bedrock players, land claiming, player shops, and projects that have been growing for a while.

What Foundation actually feels like

Foundation is a PvE survival world with the sharp edges filed off and none of the progression removed. You still mine your own iron and lose your own inventory in lava. What changes is everything around that: your base is claimed, your storage is protected, and the players nearby are more likely to lend you elytra fireworks than to dig into your vault.

The map has history. It carries over from the server environment previously run as DeadlyFam SMP, so the spawn area, the road network, and the older builds were made by people who are still around to tell you about them. Joining now means moving into a world with neighbors rather than a fresh map that may or may not have players next month.

Trade happens through player shops, and community projects give people something to build toward together. Some players end up running a farm district. Others quietly terraform a mountain for a month. Both fit.

What is on the server

Quality-of-life where it helps, vanilla survival where it matters.

Land claiming

Claim your base and storage so your work is protected while you are offline. Griefing is a covenant violation on top of the technical protection.

Player shops

Buy and sell with other players instead of grinding every resource yourself. Player commerce is part of how the world develops.

Java and Bedrock together

Crossplay means your group is not split by edition. Everyone lands in the same world through Cornerstone Hall.

Community projects

Shared builds, collaborative farms, and network-wide efforts that give newer players an obvious way to contribute.

A world built to last

Long-term survival rather than constant seasonal resets, with a dedicated resource world planned so mining does not chew up the main map.

Moderation that shows up

Whitelisted entry, a published covenant, and staff who act on reports. The reason the survival world stays pleasant is that conduct is handled.

Why this SMP instead of another one

There is no shortage of survival servers. The honest difference here is the filter on the front door. Every player joins through Discord, gets whitelisted, and agrees to a community covenant before they place a block. That single step removes most of the behavior that makes public SMPs tiring, and it is why the same names keep showing up in chat month after month.

The second difference is that Foundation is not run as a standalone server. It sits inside Living Stone Network, so if you want a harder vanilla challenge you walk over to Java/Bedrock Citadel, and if you want to plan a build without survival pressure you use Artisan Creative. Same account, same community, same standards.

Getting on the server

  1. 1

    Join the Discord

Everything starts there: whitelisting, announcements, events, and help.

  2. 2

    Connect and send the code

On your first connection the game shows you a whitelist code. Send it to the Discord bot and you are approved automatically.

  3. 3

Pick a spot and claim it

Java players use play.livingstonemc.com. Bedrock players use br.livingstonemc.com on port 50101. Claim before you build.

Foundation SMP Questions

Does Foundation SMP reset?
Foundation SMP is built for long-term play rather than seasonal wipes, and no reset is planned. A separate resource world, The Wilderness, is on the way so that heavy mining can happen without scarring the main map.
Is griefing allowed?
No. Foundation SMP uses land claiming, and destroying, altering, or taking from builds and storage that are not yours is a violation of the community covenant. Cheating, x-ray, and exploit-based duplication are prohibited as well.
Does Foundation SMP support Bedrock players?
Yes. Foundation SMP is open to Java and Bedrock players in the same world. Java connects to play.livingstonemc.com and Bedrock connects to br.livingstonemc.com on port 50101.
Is there an economy?
Yes. Player shops are part of Foundation SMP, so trade between players is a normal part of the world rather than an afterthought. Nothing about it is for sale off the server, and there are no pay-to-win advantages.
How do land claims work?
Claiming protects your build and storage from other players. The covenant also asks you to claim first and build second, so ownership is clear before a project grows. If you want a walkthrough of the in-game commands, ask in the Discord help channel and someone will show you.
Do I need to be whitelisted first?
You join the Discord first, then connect. The game will show you a code on your first attempt, and sending that code to the Discord bot whitelists you automatically.
Is Foundation SMP the same as the old DeadlyFam SMP?
Foundation SMP uses the former DeadlyFam SMP server environment, and builds, claims, inventory, and progress carried over. It is now a Living Stone Network server rather than DeadlyFam under a new name.

Pick a spot on the map

Join the Discord, complete the whitelist code, and connect on Java or Bedrock. Foundation has room for another neighbor.
